Terms of reference
Within the Board Update part of the GC-GP LEP Board’s Awayday on 18th May, the proposed Terms of Reference for the LEP were presented, which had already been circulated for comment and a number of changes made. A proposal was made by Cllr Sian Reid, regarding the terms of reference, that all Board meetings should be held in public. This proposal was put before the Board and a vote was held.
The results of the vote were: 1 for, 2 abstentions and 8 against. The proposal was therefore rejected.
After the vote the Chairman Neville Reyner reiterated that the Terms of Reference makes clear that the Board will operate transparently. Other than for commercially sensitive issues, Board minutes, once approved at the Board meeting, will be posted on the GC-GP LEP website along with Board papers and other materials.
There will also be two public meetings each year, planned to be held in September or October, one in the Greater Cambridge area and one in the Greater Peterborough area.
The agreed Terms of Reference can be downloaded here: GCGP Board Terms of Reference.
